Propagate Interferes With WiFi
Propagate Networks launches WiFi Interference-Busting Evaluation Kits using its AutoCell self-configuring technology
March 30, 2004
ACTON, Mass. -- Propagate Networks, Inc., whose embedded software lets Wi-Fi networks self-organize and automatically adjust to constantly changing radio frequency environments, today announced the availability of Wi-Fi Interference-Busting Evaluation Kits featuring Propagate's AutoCell(TM) self-configuring technology.
Propagate's AutoCell technology is a lightweight, embedded software control system for wireless access points (APs) and clients (laptops, PDAs and phones) that creates self-configuring wireless LANs, eliminating the need for difficult and time-consuming management. Current Propagate partners include many Wi-Fi industry leaders such as Atheros Communications, Netgear, Chantry Networks, ReefEdge Networks and Bluesocket.
Each Evaluation Kit is designed for rigorous testing environments and consists of Access Points embedded with AutoCell based on the Atheros AP30 802.11 a/b/g reference design, complete AutoCell driver and installation kit for Atheros-based 802.11 a/b/g client adapters. The Kit also contains a copy of AutoCell VIEW(TM), a real-time graphical viewer and development tool that allows developers and network managers the ability to troubleshoot the RF domain. All are available from Propagate Networks immediately.
"Radio frequency management is too complex to handle manually, in both enterprise and consumer environments," said Gary Vacon, president and co-founder of Propagate Networks. "Propagate's Evaluation Kits will give Wi-Fi device manufacturers, developers, suppliers, integrators and end-users the ability to experience the full potential of a Wi-Fi network without performance brownouts, neighboring interference and administrative headaches."
