AMSTERDAM and LIVERPOOL -- Nublu Technologies, leading wireless experts in the North West of England, has launched the service brand WiFiPod. Several free access hotspots are already operational in the North West of England. The strategic partnership with PicoPoint will contribute to rapid expansion of the WiFiPod network by offering charge and roaming solutions, through the PicoPoint back-office and roaming platform. Nublu Technologies expects to expand its WiFiPods to 100 by the end of 2003 in the UK alone.

Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi) is the latest thrill for super fast wireless internet access. no cables, no mess - absolute mobility for total mobile communication. With Wi-Fi technology it is possible to create a HotSpot, allowing mobile connection to broadband internet, with no wires. This can be done in almost any location, regardless of size, whether it's in a bar, cafe, hotel, airport or even in your own home. The new freedom of wireless connectivity allows surfing up to 40 times faster than with a normal dial up modem.

WiFiPod will provide a one stop shop û from setting up the broadband connection to the access point installation and the provision of wireless clients. Whilst other providers consider the end-user as WiFi compatible, WiFiPod offers unique connectivity packs which contain 802.11b USB adapters and user manuals. These can be borrowed from the location for free, should the user not have inbuilt wireless capacity or is new to the world of wireless.
