Known as DOCSIS 4.0, this new set of specs incorporates the features of both Full Duplex DOCSIS (FDX) and Extended Spectrum DOCSIS (ESD), giving operators two separate but complementary ways to expand their bandwidth capacity and deliver symmetrical speeds of 25 Gbps or more to broadband subscribers.
