As operators transition to NFV, monitoring solutions need to adapt. The classic model, based on hardware solutions, is not only challenged economically, but is also blind when it comes to monitoring traffic within the virtualization platform. Nicolas Bouthors, CTO, Enea – Qosmos Division Nicolas Bouthors leads Qosmos Division’s technology strategy, driving the company’s initiatives in open and virtualized networks. He contributes to standards bodies such as ONF SDN, ETSI NFV and IETF SFC, and Open Source projects centered on network virtualization. Nicolas has spent over 20 years in the telecommunications and information systems field. Early in his career, he was instrumental in creating HP’s OpenCall business. Nicolas was also CTO and founder of Volubill (2001), a company building a policy and charging rules function (PCRF) product for the mobile network market.
Sujata Tibrewala, Network Technology Evangelist, Intel Sujata Tibrewala is a Networking Community Manager and Developer Evangelist at Intel. She started her career writing Layer2/Layer 3 code for Agere network processors. Subsequently she has worked on 802.1x security technologies at Cisco and also implemented Openflow 1.3 on CISCO switches. She also has worked with virtualization using VMware stack, and works today on Intel assist open source technologies for SDN/NFV, and drives adoption of these technologies among developers.
