Service providers are looking more and more to flexible deployment options for their packet cores. This includes choice of where to deploy: from private to public cloud, or a mixture of both with a hybrid approach. Choice of technology is also important: from cloud-native network functions (CNFs), virtualized network functions (VNFs) or pre-integrated packet core solutions that do not require a network function virtualization infrastructure (NFVI). It’s about selecting the correctly sized choice dependent on location and use case.
This webinar will discuss the cloud-native features and capabilities needed for a webscale-class packet core network, no matter where service providers chose to deploy it.
Key topics include:
- Key components of a webscale-class packet core
- Industry and market trends driving packet core evolution
- Cloud-native
- Convergence
- Observability
- Network slicing
