Jennifer Pigg Clark is Principal Analyst with Heavy Reading covering Cloud Infrastructure and Edge Computing. Clark provides actionable insight into service provider evolution, examining the challenges and opportunities facing network operators as they move towards 5G and IoT with an increasingly virtualized and cloud native infrastructure. Clark examines the solutions and technology reshaping the telco data center, technologies such as Edge Computing, Open Source, OpenStack, container networking, Network Orchestration, Software Defined Networks (SDN), Network Functions Virtualization (NFV), and SD-WAN. Clark started her industry research career with the Yankee Group, which was acquired by 451 Research in 2013. She held the role of Sr. Vice President at Yankee Group. Prior to joining Yankee Group, Clark was Manager of Network Planning and Strategy for Wang Laboratories' corporate data network. She began her career at Wang with responsibility for the domestic and international roll-out of Wang's packet network, connecting more than 250 locations in 14 countries. Before joining Wang, she was a member of the IT research and development division of Commercial Union Insurance Companies. Clark is a highly regarded speaker at industry seminars and conferences and is frequently cited by the commercial and trade press. She has been a guest lecturer at the MIT Sloan School of Management and is a member of the IEEE. She holds a B.A. degree from Mount Holyoke College.
Amol Phadke joined Google Cloud in June 2020 as managing director: global telecom industry solutions.
He is responsible for working with the product and engineering teams to build industry specific roadmaps, working with C-suite customers to help transform their businesses using Google Cloud. He is also responsible for building a strong global ecosystem of Google Cloud partners and has oversight for the customer-facing telecoms engineering and industry solutions architecture teams spanning 5G, edge, network cloud, AI/analytics, and IT modernization.
Prior to joining Google Cloud, Amol was the global managing director for Accenture’s Global Network Practice, where he led and managed global high-end consulting teams that provided strategy, consulting, execution, and transformation services to CXO clients. Before Accenture, Amol served in leadership positions at Alcatel-Lucent and British Telecom. He brings vast international industry experience and has worked in the U.S., India, Singapore, and the UK.
Amol currently serves on the governing board of Linux Foundation Networking to promote open source solutions for software driven networks, and has also recently authored and published a book that offers a unique perspective on the impact of 5G on the future home.
Amol has a master’s degree in telecommunications engineering from the University of Southern California and a double degree executive MBA from UCLA-NUS, Singapore. He was also awarded the C H Wee Gold Medal for outstanding academic achievement in the executive MBA program. He lives in Surrey, London, UK with his wife and daughter, and enjoys reading and playing Badminton in his spare time.

His deep understanding of the latest developments in the field helps him define and promote a strong vision to enable state-of-the-art experiences for consumers.
Outside of work, you can often find Alex working on AI research, coding Raspberry Pies, or playing guitar, piano or hockey.
Proven technical leader with 30+ years of expertise in driving innovation and new product launches with advanced network technologies which enable new services that establish revenue generation and produce cost reductions. Focused on maximizing value of technology, utilizing SDN automation including virtualized network platforms and cloud native ecosystems for service providers. Leverage emerging technologies to improve service performance and the customer experience. Able to attract and retain industry leading engineers, leading to successful new product launches, many of which were first in the telecommunications industry.
Robert leads the Cox access engineering team that manages the technical deployments for Cox FTTH builds for both residential and commercial customers. Robert previously led the Cox commercial services engineering that built a national Cox Business services backbone and metro access network. He started his career at BellSouth and later AT&T. He was part of the product management team that launched DSL services as well as the initial fiber-to-the-cell site builds. He is a former board member and treasurer of the Metro Ethernet Forum.
Tom Williams is Chief Technology Officer with Schurz Broadband Group. Tom began his career in the cable industry as an R&D engineer at Scientific-Atlanta developing and deploying the first digital set-top boxes. He moved into consulting with KPMG and later joined Comcast as the Regional Director of Engineering where he was first to deploy new technologies for the company including the VOD, HD-DVR, CHSI, HDTV and more. In 2006 Tom joined ARRIS as Vice President of Marketing and Business Development, where he won 2 AMY awards and implemented a company-wide brand transformation and management strategy. Tom returned to consulting, as a Managing Partner with Brightset Consulting specializing in global marketing and communications strategies for technology companies. He joined the Schurz Communications leadership team in 2016 where he drives technology strategy for the company.
Tom is a long-standing member of SCTE, CTAM, NCTC and WICT. He enjoys mentoring young people interested in technology and advanced video related careers. He has served as a Board member on the Baltimore County Technology Council and the Technology Board for the University of Maryland driving technology solutions to serve students and faculty of the college. Tom was inducted into the prestigious Cable TV Pioneers in 2019.
An active participant in his hometown of Atlanta, he enjoys coaching youth sports teams, serving on community technology boards and supporting local and military-owned business growth. Tom is a member of the American Legion and a United States Marine Corps veteran. He is a member of the Marine Corps Memorial Association that educates and connects others on the history of the Corps and the sacrifices of those who serve.
