Alan Breznick has tracked the media, telecommunications, broadband, and consumer electronics industries for more than 20 years. Before switching over to Heavy Reading in 2007, he was the original editor of Light Reading Cable Website and founding author of Heavy Reading's Cable Industry Insider. At Heavy Reading, he primarily focuses on cable/MSO services, technologies, and networks, as well as IPTV infrastructure. Alan was formerly a broadband analyst for Kinetic Strategies and a contributing analyst for One Touch Intelligence. He previously reported for Communications Daily, Cable World, Multichannel News, Broadband Daily, Crain's New York Business, and Genuine Article Press, among other publications.
Tom Linder is Director of TV and Consumer Services at TELUS, where he leads the Strategy and Dev/Ops teams. He has 30 years experience in telecommunications, and has dedicated the last 20 years to developing new strategies in the delivery of Consumer IP and TV services with TELUS.
Wolfgang Zeller is Head of Video Centre of Excellence for Vodafone Group, where he leads and drives Vodafone’s video technology products & roadmaps and manages for Vodafone Group strategic technology programs for Video/TV. Over his +25 years working in the video/tv/broadcast industry, Zeller has been working at the transition of classic cable broadcast to first interactive services and further on to full IP distribution and now at Vodafone Group driving the next generation cloud based OTT pay-tv platform that supports all kinds of networks (mobile, cable, ftth, dth, xdsl..) and devices, which is rolled out at global scale in Vodafone markets
Jim Brickmeier is Chief Product and Marketing Officer at Velocix, where he leads strategy development, product management, and demand generation. During his 20 years in telecommunications, he has been a driving force behind cloud transformation in the streaming video market. Jim has previously held executive leadership roles at Nokia and Concurrent, and has been a board member of the Streaming Video Alliance.
Francois is a Senior Solutions Architect in the Red Hat’s Telco Technology Office and collaborates with telecom service providers and partners across EMEA. Passionate about security, Francois leads the NFV security domain and is the Red Hat’s technical interface to the National Cybersecurity Agency of France (ANSSI). Before Red Hat, he spent more than 15 years contributing to network evolution especially towards cloud platforms.
