Jennifer Clark, Principal Analyst - Cloud Infrastructure and Edge Computing, Heavy Reading | bioIlan Tevet, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development, RAD | bio
Clark provides actionable insight into service provider evolution, examining the challenges and opportunities facing network operators as they move towards 5G and IoT with an increasingly virtualized and cloud native infrastructure. Clark examines the solutions and technology reshaping the telco data center, technologies such as Edge Computing, Open Source, OpenStack, container networking, Network Orchestration, Data Center Interconnect, Software Defined Networks (SDN), and Network Functions Virtualization (NFV).
Clark started her industry research career with the Yankee Group, which was acquired by 451 Research in 2013. She held the role of Sr. Vice President at Yankee Group. Prior to joining Yankee Group, Clark was Manager of Network Planning and Strategy for Wang Laboratories'corporate data network. She began her career at Wang with responsibility for the domestic and international roll-out of Wang's packet network, connecting more than 250 locations in 14 countries. Before joining Wang, she was a member of the IT research and development division of Commercial Union Insurance Companies.
Clark is a highly regarded speaker at industry seminars and conferences and is frequently cited by the commercial and trade press. She has been a guest lecturer at the MIT Sloan School of Management and is a member of the IEEE. She holds a B.A. degree from Mount Holyoke College.
Ilan Tevet is RAD’s Vice President of Marketing and Business Development.
He originally joined RAD’s Marketing Department in 1997 as a Technical Support Engineer. After a few years as a Product Line manager, he moved to RAD’s Sales Department and was promoted to Sales Director for strategic alliances. Ilan returned to the Marketing Department in 2013 when he was appointed to lead the company’s Service Provider Line of Business, and in 2017 was promoted to his current role.
He holds a BA in business administration, information systems and sociology and an Executive MBA in marketing, business strategy and finance from Tel Aviv University.
Ilan is an avid mountain bicyclist who enjoys multi-day, self-supported races across the Israeli desert.
Nick Barcet is the Senior Director of Technology Strategy at Red Hat, where his team helps decide the future of technologies through constant interaction with customers. His team is currently focusing on Telco, Edge, and AI/ML.
Joining Red Hat in June 2014 as part of the eNovance acquisition, Barcet became the Director of Product Management for Red Hat OpenStack. Since 2019, he has focused on revising the processes and organization that releases products to meet the new market requirements in terms of feedback loop, velocity, and operational excellence.
Susan James is senior director of telecommunications strategy at Red Hat. She is a senior leader in the telecommunications industry, and is currently driving technology introductions to mass market deployment. A strategic systems thinker, she has extensive experience with Cloud and has worked on a range of network functions and virtualization platforms in recent years. Her product management expertise is derived from a career-long focus on developing products to address technology transitions and the establishment of new business areas.
Francois is a Senior Solutions Architect in the Red Hat’s Telco Technology Office and collaborates with telecom service providers and partners across EMEA. Passionate about security, Francois leads the NFV security domain and is the Red Hat’s technical interface to the National Cybersecurity Agency of France (ANSSI). Before Red Hat, he spent more than 15 years contributing to network evolution especially towards cloud platforms.
