Gabriel Brown, Principal Analyst – Mobile Networks and 5G, Heavy Reading
Gabriel leads mobile network research for Heavy Reading. He covers system architecture including RAN, core, and service-layer platforms. Key research topics include 5G, LTE Advanced, software-based mobile core, and the application of cloud technologies to mobile networking. Gabriel has more than 15 years’ experience as a mobile network analyst. Prior to joining Heavy Reading, he was Chief Analyst for Light Reading’s Insider research service; before that, he was editor of IP Wireline and Wireless Week at London's Euromoney Institutional Investor.

Gunter Reiss, VP of Worldwide Marketing and Business Development, A10 Networks
Gunter Reiss has more than 20 years of success in international business development and global sales with technology expertise in the mobile, IP networking, SDN, cloud and IT industries. He has galvanized and established myriad multi-million-dollar business alliances and senior level executive relationships with Fortune 500 companies throughout North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia.

Gunter joined A10 Networks in 2014 as Vice President of Strategic Alliances, and in 2017 was named Vice President of Worldwide Marketing and Business Development. Prior to joining A10 Networks, Gunter served as vice president of business development and strategy for product area IP & Broadband at Ericsson Inc. in the Silicon Valley.

Previously, he held senior roles in business, partnership, alliances and strategy development at Ericsson in Austria, Sweden and Texas. He also spent three years in England in senior leadership roles with Damovo and IPC. Gunter served on the board of privately held Skorpios Technologies and was a member of the Sun Microsystems customer advisory board.

He received his electrical engineering degree from the Higher Technical School in Vienna, Austria. He is an alumnus of the UCLA Executive M&A program and the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business Venture Capitalist Executive Program.

Sam Lisle, Director of Business Development ECI North America
Sam Lisle is the Business Development Director for North America at ECI where he focuses on packet-optical networking technologies and applications. Sam has over two decades of experience in packet-optical networking in a number of roles including Portfolio Management, Marketing, Business Development, and Corporate Strategy. Sam holds several U.S. patents and was instrumental in the definition of three generations of packet-optical platforms. Prior to ECI Telecom, Sam worked for Bellcore (now Telcordia), and Fujitsu. Sam holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Iowa and a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech. Sam and his wife live near Dallas, Texas.

Srinivasa Kalapala, Vice President - Global Technology and Supplier Strategy, Verizon
Srinivasa (Srini) Kalapala is the Vice President of Technology and Supplier Strategy at Verizon. Srini is responsible for developing next-generation network technology strategies, identifying strategic suppliers to enable Verizon’s technology strategy and driving architecture efforts across Verizon’s Technology organization.

Prior to his current role, Srini was managing technology strategy, architecture and user experience functions in the wireline business unit. In that role, he led transformation efforts delivering world-class platforms such as Fiber to the Premises networks and well recognized Technician Tablet and Mobile Coach. Srini drove the technology transformation efforts in the areas of work force mobility, Wireline network transformation and platform rationalization. InfoWorld-Forrester recognized Srini’s team as one of the top five leading architecture organizations in the world for these efforts.

Prior to this role, Srini drove the technology architecture for Verizon’s Fiber to the Premises (FiOS) business. Srini has played notable roles in the delivery of long distance, voice unbundling and development of broadband strategies at Verizon. Prior to joining Verizon, Srini worked at British Telecom, IBM and MCI in various technology roles.

Srini holds an MBA from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, a Master’s degree in Information Systems from George Washington University, and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Instrumentation from Birla Institute of Science (BITS) in Pilani, India.

Brian Daniels, Senior Vice President, Strategic Networks, Z5G, Zayo
Brian Daniels is senior vice president, Strategic Networks, Z5G at Zayo. He leads a team of Zayo’s experts focused on mobile infrastructure, which includes the foundation for 5G networks. Brian oversees strategy, operations, product development, underlying rights, government relations, implementation and real estate options. Zayo’s solutions include fiber backhaul and fronthaul, as well as full turnkey implementation, including RF design, site acquisition, permitting and installation of equipment. Brian joined Zayo in 2014 as a product manager and has held leadership roles in fiber solutions,product management and business development. Earlier in his career, Brian was a financial advisor for Merrill Lynch. He also played professional football for the Minnesota Vikings. Brian holds a B.S. in business administration from the University of Colorado and an MBA from the University of Louisville. He is a native Coloradan who enjoys the outdoor lifestyle, including running and skiing. Brian is an active advocate and supporter of lung cancer research.
