Gabriel Brown, Principal Analyst – Mobile Networks and 5G, Heavy Reading
Gabriel leads mobile network research for Heavy Reading. He covers system architecture including RAN, core, and service-layer platforms. Key research topics include 5G, LTE Advanced, software-based mobile core, and the application of cloud technologies to mobile networking. Gabriel has more than 15 years’ experience as a mobile network analyst. Prior to joining Heavy Reading, he was Chief Analyst for Light Reading’s Insider research service; before that, he was editor of IP Wireline and Wireless Week at London's Euromoney Institutional Investor.

Dr. Sameh Yamany, CTO, VIAVI Solutions
Dr. Sameh Yamany is the CTO of VIAVI where he drives technology innovation and execution for the company’s new technologies including 5G. He is the former CEO and President of Trendium, where he led innovations in service assurance and analytics and the creation of a new paradigm in Customer Experience Assurance (CEA). Dr. Yamany's industry experience also includes his senior executive role at Tektronix Communications where he set the vision and development of the Iris wireless and wireline monitoring and troubleshooting suite of applications. Dr. Yamany worked as an assistant professor at Old Dominion University in Virginia and has a PhD in computer science from University of Louisville. He has authored several patents, and more than 50 journals, conference publications, and book chapters in artificial intelligence, telecommunications and systems engineering.

Asaf Matatyaou, VP Solutions and Product Management, Harmonic
Asaf Matatyaou is Vice President of Solutions and Product Management for the Cable Access Business at Harmonic. In this role, Asaf is responsible for product management, strategy and solution architectures, including Harmonic’s virtual cable access solution, CableOS. Asaf has 20 years of experience as an engineer and executive in the cable industry, including roles where he led development of CMTS products and helped drive industry specifications. Asaf earned his BS degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of California, Davis.
