• Online ad firm Collective Media announced a new round of funding, which it plans to put toward building headcount -- and maybe some acquisitions as well.
  
  
• Another online ad firm, Pontiflex, announced it has raised $6.25 million in a Series B funding round led by RRE Ventures.
  
  
• VideoEgg, an online ad network has rolled out the Twig, a new ad unit designed for blogs and other long Web pages. The Twig runs across the top or bottom of Web pages and stays in view even when users scroll.
