Vodafone: Down Under and Dirty

A cheeky stunt by Vodafone Australia, which saw two naked men plastered in Vodafone slogans invade the pitch at a rugby international match in Sydney this weekend, has backfired and the firm could now face fines, according to local news reports.

Vodafone Australia's managing director Grahame Maher reportedly agreed to the stunt before the match, although he says that he didn't realize the men were going to streak.

"We said whatever you want to do, if it is good for us we would love to be involved," Maher told Sydney paper, the Daily Telegraph. Maher has apparently agreed to cover the mens' fines, even if he can't cover his blushes.

The match took place at the recently renamed Telstra stadium in Sydney. Telstra Corp. is Vodafone's major rival in the Australian mobile market.
