WICT announces 2008 LEA Award winners

LOS ANGELES -- The 2008 Executive Officers and Board of Directors for the Southern California Chapter of Women in Cable & Telecommunications (WICT) announced today this year’s winners of the LEA Awards.
The awards are presented at a gala celebration which honors four outstanding individuals and a board member for their achievements in the areas of Leadership, Education and Advocacy, contributions to the telecommunications industry and support of Women in Cable & Telecommunications. A committee comprised of industry leaders selected the recipients from an impressive pool of nominations.The 2008 LEA Award winners are as follows:
Lifetime Achievement – Karen Kranick, VP, Customer Operations, Cox Communications Orange County/Palos Verdes
Woman Of The Year – Danielle Wade, VP Customer Care and Marketing, Bright House Networks, Bakersfield
Woman To Watch – Veronica Islas, Marketing Director, TuTv
Advocate Leader – Samantha Brown, Sr. Director of Affiliate Relations, ¡Sorpresa!And a special recognition of:
WICT Board Member of the Year – Dwanya Haley, Ketchum, Inc. (formerly of Bob Gold & Associates)
