Virgin Media has appointed Aleks Habdank as director of on-demand television services

LONDON -- Virgin Media has appointed Aleks Habdank as director of on demand television services. Aleks will be responsible for the commercial management of Virgin Media’s pioneering on demand TV service.
Aleks joins Virgin Media from Chellomedia where he was General Manager of Chello on demand. As a founder member of the management team that helped set up transactional TV services across Europe, Aleks has an established record of success in new media and on demand television across cable and IPTV telco platforms throughout Europe. During his nine years at Chellomedia, Aleks also held several non-executive roles with CTAM Europe, Anytime PTE and an advisory role with African Trumpet Telecommunications Nigeria.

With 66 million views each month, Virgin Media’s on demand TV service is changing the way people watch TV and Aleks will help take our service forward and create a truly stand out, differentiated proposition.”
Prior to Chellomedia, Aleks held roles at ntl and Zone Vision Group.Aleks will join Virgin Media in the New Year.
