LOS ANGELES -- Gravitas Ventures, a distributor and programmer of content across Video On Demand (VOD) platforms, today announced it has entered into a multi-year deal with Rogers Cable Communications Inc, Canada's largest cable TV provider. This new relationship extends Gravitas' North American reach and is the 30th operator partner Gravitas has licensed to in the last year.
Gravitas will license twenty hours of new content per month through the Gravitas Movies and Gravitas Events packages to Rogers. Gravitas Movies showcases titles straight from their NYC/LA theatrical premieres and from leading film festivals like Sundance, Toronto, SXSW, Tribeca and Cannes. One title now available on Rogers on Demand is the shocking expose, American Meth, narrated by Val Kilmer.
"We are excited to partner with Canada's largest cable company and expand Gravitas' distribution across North America to up to 75 million homes," said Nolan Gallagher, founder and CEO, Gravitas Ventures. "As consumers continue to turn to alternative viewing platforms like VOD, Gravitas provides more than 3,000 hours of content, offering a solution for multichannel broadcast companies looking for fresh and engaging content as well as a destination for independent filmmakers to show their work to millions."
