EL SEGUNDO, Calif. -- DIRECTV is growing its WorldDirect(TM) programming platform with the addition of Vesti, a Russian-language news channel covering major national and international news and events 24 hours-a-day seven days-a-week. Vesti is part of Russian Television and Radio (RTR), one of Russia's leading broadcasters and content providers.
Vesti's daily schedule is built on an hourly rotation with ten-minute bulletins on major national and international news every half hour, complemented with alternating business, sports and cultural updates. The distinctive feature of the Vesti channel is up to 20 minutes of regional coverage each hour including detailed analysis of local events making headlines across the country, from election results and high-profile investigations to scientific breakthroughs and nation-wide celebrations.
Vesti is available in the RussianDirect(TM) II programming package, which also includes C1RW, Dom Kino, Muzika Pervogo, Vremya, RTR Planeta for $45.99 per month.
