WASHINGTON -- The Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM) announced the winners of the 2007 Mark Awards in a ceremony held at the CTAM Summit in Washington, DC. The Mark Awards recognize excellence in consumer and industry marketing for the cable and telecommunications industries. Fifty-four gold and 105 silver winners were selected out of 1,032 entries.
Showtime Networks Inc. received the most honors among the content providers, winning a total of 16 Mark Awards, five gold and 11 silver, followed by MTV Networks with 15, six gold and nine silver. Comcast Cable won the most Mark Awards among the cable companies, with a total of 10, seven gold and three silver awards, followed by Time Warner Cable with nine, three gold and six silver.
The competition's highest honor, the Top of the Mark Award, went to National Geographic Channel for The Gospel of Judas Campaign.
The Mark Awards are sponsored by Big Ten Network, HBO, The History Channel, Scripps Networks, and Showtime Networks Inc. Multichannel News is the exclusive media partner.
