AMSTERDAM -- Bluestreak Technology, the leader in Video Everywhere, announced today that Panasonic Corporation Semiconductor Company selected Bluestreak Technology’s MachBlue platform to power the company’s new over-the-top (OTT) video solution. The new offering enables set makers and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) worldwide that utilize Panasonic chipsets in their connected televisions, digital media players, and Blu-ray players to immediately provide consumers with a suite of off-the-shelf video applications. The applications currently include content from popular providers such as Netflix, YouTube, BBC iPlayer, and BesTV. The MachBlue platform on Panasonic chipsets is also opening its environment to gaming, radio, and other rich media providers who would like their content and applications to be easily integrated with set makers and OEM customers in the future.

“Accessing OTT video on connected devices is the next frontier for TV" said Yasushi Waki, General Manager, Software & Solutions Development Center at Panasonic Corporation Semiconductor Company. "Thanks to Bluestreak Technology, devices powered by our chipsets will be pre-integrated with today's popular video services.”
