COPENHAFEN -- Alight Technologies A/S today announced that the company has appointed Dr. Peter Viereck as new chairman of the board.

Dr. Peter Viereck has more than 20 years experience from the telecom industry where he served as CEO for Tellabs Denmark and R&D Director for both DSC Communications and NKT Electronics. He received his M.Sc. and his Ph.D. from the Technical University of Denmark.

Dr. Peter Viereck has been member of the board of directors at the Research Center COM of the Danish Technical University for years and has therefore combined his industry experience with being at the forefront of the innovative optical telecommunications cluster in Denmark.
