  • MTV-spawn Atom.com relaunches to "f*** with the system" -- via comedy, of course. The Website focuses on original short-form digital content, and there will even be an opportunity for UGC to achieve a weekly position of honor alongside professionally produced videos. Oh, and there's no pre-roll advertising, a rarity for what is increasingly becoming the online ad format standard.

  • Tour de France fan(s) won't be able to watch live footage of the race on Versus's Website, but they will be able to monitor racers' heartbeats and progress in real-time, read live text updates, and watch clips of the race, while they catch live footage the old-fashioned way -- on television.

  • Disney and Limelight may have broken the week-long record for Internet streams during a one-day online event, with the screening of the film Camp Rock on its Website. Specific viewer stats are promised, although the number of Web viewers claimed by Disney is much less than the number of faces in front of TV sets.

And in today's News Bits, a third of college students aren't watching online video. What are they doing -- drinking beer? Studying?!
