HUDSON, N.H. -- LASER COMPONENTS IG, Inc. and ULM Photonics GmbH (SCHOTT AG) have entered an exclusive distribution agreement for North America for ULM’s Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser Diodes (VCSEL’s).

ULM Single Mode VCSEL’s are provided in wavelengths from 750nm to 980mm including 759/760/763nm, 785nm, 808nm, 850nm, 852nm, 945nm, and 980nm. Different formats (chips and arrays) and packages are available. Packaged products may include thermoelectric cooler (TEC) and thermistor to allow 2nm tenability for adjustment of the wavelength according to desired needs.

Potential applications include driving atomic clocks, gas sensing (e.g. oxygen), humidity control, printing, range finding, lighting, communication, and computer equipment.

ULM single mode laser products offer perfect transversal and longitudinal single mode behavior along with outstanding narrow line width and excellent reliability (>50.000h).
