LOS ANGELES -- In an emergency meeting called today at the corporate offices of Uptime Integrated Systems (UIS), president Ken Stirbl advised West Coast-based staff to gear up in an effort to add additional support to its East Coast division in an effort to provide technology disaster recovery services to those companies effected by the tragic events that occurred in New York today. One of the few companies that specializes in this type of disaster recovery, UIS is prepared to provide immediate data and system retrieval services effecting the financial, governmental, medical and corporate business operations dependant upon integrated computer systems, communications and network administration. According to Stirbl, "We are grateful that a number of businesses, including banking facilities and the stock market, have successfully continued to operate. However, we recognize there is a significant number of businesses that are facing a major stalemate in the day-to-day operations and have no concept in how to revitalize the infrastructure and retrieve data that effects the bottom line." Stirbl continued, "As we specialize in what is termed disaster recovery, we feel it is imperative that we remain prepared and committed to work side by side with those companies in getting them up and running as soon as possible." UIS has long been recognized as a prime resource on both the East and West Coast as having the well-heeled capabilities, manpower and up-to-the-minute technology to rebuild businesses and resources, reinforce and redesign infrastructures, reconstruct communications and recover data with minimal downtime to the users. Marc Gorfine, UIS director of operations had this to say, "It's regretful that so many companies that are global in operation and are dependent on network and telecommunication capabilities, do not have disaster recovery plans in place. Simply doing a daily tape backup of your corporate database does not meet the criteria for disaster recovery. We hope that we can help those citizens devastated by this event and in some small way minimize the results." Uptime Integrated Systems Inc.
