(Nasdaq:CNXT) and Tyco Electronics, today announced that the two companies have achieved a long reach, high-speed milestone by driving 60 inches of FR4 trace at 3.125 Gbps. The demonstration combined Mindspeed's M27218 Octal SkyRail serializer/deserializer (Ser/Des) transceiver and Tyco Electronics' XAUI HM-Zd Interoperability Platform sending CRPAT, CJPAT and PRBS15 patterns successfully through two backplane connectors and 60 inches of standard FR4.
