Trapeze Sales VP Sails Off
Michael Ferguson, VP of sales for the Americas, left Trapeze last week, Jenni Brumfield-Adair, director of public relations, confirmed, although she could not give the exact date he left. Trapeze recently laid off around 30 percent of its workforce, insisting it still has enough people on board to deliver on its product roadmap (see Trapeze's Wireless Wobbles)
"There is [now] a search underway for a new VP of sales," Brumfield-Adair says, but gave no comment on the reasons why Ferguson is no longer with the company.
However, sources tell Unstrung that the sales chiefs heading up the European and Asian teams are still employed by the Pleasanton, Calif.-based firm. "Join the dots," one source suggests, implying that sales in the U.S. hadn't met expectations.
Brumfield-Adair also says that Jim Flach is still in place as CEO at Trapeze, refuting suggestions that Unstrung has heard from several corners that Flach had tumbled into the safety net.
