BUCHAREST, Romania -- Sensing the special interest of the worldwide Mobile Operators in the HSDPA standard, TOPEX presents at CeBIT the industry’s first HSDPA Wireless Broadband Router. With this move, the innovative European telecommunication equipment manufacturer enlarges its wide range of Broadband Routers Family. Currently it covers the following technologies: GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, HSDPA, CDMA 1x and EV-DO. Mobile Operators can diversify their offer and increase revenue by including any TOPEX Broadband Router into their offer.

The new TOPEX HSDPA Wireless Broadband Router is an All-In-One device that serves, at the same time, as a terminal for simultaneous voice calls and Internet access, as a WIFI Access Point, as a VPN Router with powerful Firewall, LAN Server, and Video Surveillance Server. TOPEX HSDPA equipment is 100% Plug-and-Play.

It is designed for the use of small and medium enterprises for Wireless VPN set-up. It ensures Internet access for temporary, mobile, remote points of presence. Additionally, it is suitable for Public WiFi Hotspot for prepaid and postpaid wireless Internet access inside Conference halls, Hotels, Coffee-shops and Restaurants, Airports, etc. All the mentioned features and benefits are also available for the UMTS version. Moreover, the GPRS version proved to be very appreciated for empowering the “wireless ATM” banking solutions by prestigious international financial institutions.
