When Unstrung was relaunched back in June 2002 (see Unstrung – Unleashed), one of the many items introduced was our investor column, designed to help those with an eye on, and some money in, wireless stocks. As part of the mix, our "stocky" duo, Tom Taulli and Dave Mock, have looked at particular companies from time to time, and mulled over whether certain shares were hot buys or hot potatoes. So how did they do? Well, pretty well, actually (see Nextel Makes a Vital Connection), while stirring up some particular passions along the way (see Qualcomm: In Need of a Revamp in particular). For the in-depth rundown on their triumphs, and the odd bum steer too (see Openwave: Wave of the Future or Wipeout?), as well as their forecast for 2003 (the year of wireless consolidation, say the guys), check out 2002's Hot Tips: A Year in Review. — Ray Le Maistre, European Editor, Unstrung
