Tony the Tiger: RIP
1:00 PM -- The voice of Tony the Tiger fell silent this week. Thurl Ravenscroft, he of the mellifluous voice (and name!), has passed away at the age of 91.
Reached for comment on his yacht in Marina del Rey, Cap'n Crunch called it "a sad day for frosted cereal lovers everywhere." Tony's longtime companion, the Trix Rabbit, was too distraught to comment.
And that damn goony-bird, or whatever the hell it's supposed to be, just kept shouting "Cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs! Cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs!"
