Time Warner, Comcast Team Up for TV Everywhere
Beginning in July, Comcast will launch a test of the service with 5,000 subscribers in local cable markets across its national network. Those cable subscribers will have access to Time Warner content through an authentication system that will link their pay TV subscriptions to the ability to watch cable programming through a broadband connection.
The initial test will include on-demand programming from TBS and TNT, including shows like The Closer and Tyler Perry's House of Payne, but Time Warner CEO Jeff Bewkes says the company will add channels and shows as time goes on.
