Averna Buys Its Way Into Europe
Averna has bought itself an international presence with the takeover of privately held Test & Measurement Solutions, a company with operations in Belgium, the Netherlands and Poland.
No purchase price was given. Averna said its two main shareholders, Tandem Expansion and Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ), helped finance the acquisition.
Averna has a product line that caters to the needs of a wide range of industries, including aerospace, automotive, consumer electronics, defense, life sciences, telecom and transportation. The company's RF expertise has earned it a position testing DOCSIS-based systems for the cable industry.
T&M Solutions has an almost equally disparate grab-bag of technologies for semiconductor testing, vision inspection systems, instruments used in life sciences, and precision assembly.
T&M Solutions' management, including current owners Roel Geraerts and Kurt Hensen, will continue to play key roles in operations and expansion plans for the European market, Averna said.
