VANCOUVER -- enTel Communications Inc., BC’s newest telecommunications service provider and TeraSpan Networks, a BC based fiber optic technology provider are pleased to announce an exclusive partnership to engineer, manufacture, install and service fiber optic networks in the North. The value of business from the partnership is forecasted at more than $6M in products or products manufactured under license over its 5-year lifetime.

The partnership will license intellectual property from TeraSpan’s patented vertical inlaid fiber optic system, allowing enTel to cost effectively service communities in the North with advanced communication products.

Commenting on the announcement enTel’s CEO Gary Patsey said “Supplying TeraSpan’s world class fiber optic system allows enTel to offer competitively priced advanced products to under served customers in the North to bridge the digital divide. In addition we gratefully acknowledge the support of the BC Government and look forward to providing increased employment to support our expanding business”.

“For TeraSpan, this partnership gives us the ability to serve a region which would otherwise be too expensive to support. Best of all, we are partnering with a professional and knowledgeable organization whose employees live in the same communities they service”, said Lisa Payne, TeraSpan’s COO.
