VIENNA -- The Telekom Austria Group (VSE: TKA, NYSE: TKA) today announced the commercial launch of aonDigital TV in Vienna and thus is among the innovation leaders on the television market with this new entertainment product.

Stefan Tweraser, Head of Marketing Retail at Telekom Austria, on the new product: "aonDigital TV is a completely new television experience. We offer a high-quality portfolio of TV channels, which can be viewed conveniently and clearly on a user-friendly interface, and for the first time in Austria, real video on demand."

Currently, aonDigital TV is only available in Vienna, provided that technical and operating prerequisites are met. Within the course of the year, it is also planned to offer aonDigital TV in other regions – particularly in metropolitan areas. Telekom Austria's broadband expansion, which has almost reached full coverage, - ADSL is basically available for 87 percent of Austrian households – is an excellent basis for further roll out of the offer.
