SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Teja(TM) Technologies, Inc., an innovative network software company, today announced that its revolutionary network processor software development platform, Teja NP, now supports the Linux open-source Operating System (OS). By making Teja NP compatible with Linux, Teja enables its network OEM customers to develop advanced networking and telecommunications equipment based on the Intel IXP1200 network processor (NPU) in less than half the time it takes with other technologies while avoiding the cost of the traditional Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) licensing model. "Developers are always looking for ways to do more with less," said David Stepner, Teja's president and CEO. "By interoperating with Linux, Teja is giving its OEM customers an additional choice in embedded operating systems. Based on customer feedback, Linux has proven to be a reliable, stable platform for product development on the Intel IXP1200." Teja Technologies Inc.
