NEW DELHI, India -- Tech Mahindra, a leading provider of IT services and telecom solutions, and Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT - News), a global leader in wireless communications, today announced a joint venture to develop and deliver innovative application solutions. The joint venture company, called CanvasM, will enable network service providers and enterprises to launch and manage the deployment of applications that will help increase their differentiation, shorten time to revenue, and reduce total cost of ownership.

CanvasM will implement end-user applications and content services, consistent service creation, and a delivery and management framework utilizing Motorola's Global Applications Management Architecture (GAMA). CanvasM will deliver customized applications through a dedicated staff that specializes in addressing the varying needs of customers. The portfolio includes messaging, location-based services, entertainment, e-commerce and enterprise productivity applications. Tech Mahindra will bring the joint venture its experience in applications development and integration capabilities. Motorola contributes its applications portfolio, applications and service delivery platform, and mobile technology expertise. Together, the companies make CanvasM the vehicle for delivering an evolving portfolio of content-based services.
