TAIPEI -- Tatung will roll out a series of IP Hybrid Set Top Box (STB) and Home Entertainment Center products as part of its exciting Digital Home Products portfolio in the incoming IPTV World Forum London 2007. Tatung STB 2000 series can support High Definition 1080p, ATSC/DVB/NTSC/Clear QAM digital tuner, DLNA compliance, video conference, VoIP to reflect the market trend and act as pioneer in IPTV STB market that fully meet the requirements among service providers in 2007.

Based on SoC solution technology, Tatung STB2000 can support multiple codecs, including MPEG-4 Part 10(H.264) High Definition (720p/1080i30/1080p30) for more efficient bandwidth usage while the dual tuners model can support variant combination, including Dual ATSC, Clear QAM, and NTSC tuners. Embedded large Hard Disk (HD) is also included for trick mode and personal video recorder function, and the size is configurable. In terms of home network capability, Tatung STB 2350 series can support the latest Home PNA 3.0. With its speed up to 160 MHz, the shared content can move around the house smoothly.

Other than decoding capability, Tatung Set Top Box 2000 series has an H.264 encoder for video conference, home surveillance, location free, content sharing on the go, and many other innovative and interactive applications. Furthermore, Tatung set top box is also a juke box as it has 9-in-1 card-reader for easy photo sharing. All of these powerful features make Tatung Set Top Box 2000 series even more powerful and popular in the retail market.
