  • LiveU is further along on its quest to make video wireless with an injection of $9 million in funding. The company has created a device that will relay a signal to LiveU's network without using satellite uplinks.

  • Video aggregator Veoh focuses on quality, not quantity. After announcing last weekend that it was stopping service to all but 33 markets, the company has received $30 million in funding, which it plans to use to enhance features in pre-existing markets.

  • Rayno muses on why Carl Icahn's so upset. With the recent unsealing of court documents, it appears that Yahoo execs, unlike those in other firms, were set to receive severance packages of $2 million, or 3 percent of the proposed acquisition price.
And in News Bits: Yahoo joins the CBS Audience Network, Comcast starts testing its protocol-agnostic network, and Brits are willing to accept MMS ads.
