OSLO -- T-VIPS, a global leader in professional video contribution and distribution solutions, will make a strong showing at the NAB convention this year, announcing two new products, a U.S. debut, and a product line split. The show comes on the heels of a very successful year in North America for the company, with sales to several PBS broadcasters, high-end Hollywood post production facilities, and large sports networks. T-VIPS was also ranked as the 30th fastest growing technology company in the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA for 2010.

At the 2011 NAB convention, T-VIPS (booth SU7807) will introduce a transport stream processor designed specifically for the U.S. market. The CP505 ATSC Processor integrates a flexible network interface adapter with an advanced transport stream processor in a cost-effective, compact unit. It is ATSC-compliant with native support for SMPTE 310 MPEG-2 ATSC transmission streams and ATSC PSIP (Program and System Information Protocol) tables. As the newest member of T-VIPS' cProcessor family of products, the CP505 is intended for real-time backhaul, distribution, and digital- television transmission of MPEG-2 transport streams over SMPTE 310, ASI and IP networks.

The company will also introduce the TVG425 Transport Stream Gateway at NAB this year. Based on a new, advanced technology platform, this product was developed in response to significant customer demand. The TVG425 is the newest member of the T-VIPS Video Gateway suite and is designed for real-time contribution and distribution of video over IP networks. The TVG425 provides transparent handling of MPEG Transport Streams over ASI, IP/Ethernet and SONET/SDH. It includes advanced features such as: input signal monitoring, flexible output diversity, dual network interfaces, input switching between redundant sources and bidirectional operation.

Making its U.S. debut at the show is the TNS546 (previously called the CP546) Transport Stream Monitor, a powerful tool for the continuous monitoring of transport streams, services, PIDs and PSI/SI/PSIP tables. The TNS546 is part of the newly announced nSure line of monitoring and switching products. Error detection and alarms are based on ETSI TR 101 290 for DVB signals and ATSC A/78 for ATSC DTV signals, with the alarms provided through an easy-to-use web user interface as well as through SNMP.
