Susan Boyle Dominates!

4:20 PM -- Today on Contentinople:

  • In April the Web was dominated by videos from U.K. show Britain's Got Talent, including performances from the now-famed Susan Boyle and a 12-year-old girl. Boyle's performance of "I Dreamed a Dream," from Les Misérables generated more than 111 million views on YouTube since it was uploaded on April 11.

  • The Interactive Advertising Bureau has formed the Re-Imagining Interactive Advertising Task Force, with execs from companies like Yahoo, Google, and Microsoft, to focus on ways to improve ad formats and the creative materials used in Web advertising.

  • Hulu CEO Jason Kilar says Hulu won't be raising its ad rates even though it now has shiny new content from Disney, such as ABC’s Lost and Desperate Housewives. “Our first focus is to make sure that advertisers love the service... We simply want to delight them in terms of brand recall rates, message recall rates," Kilar said. We're delighted already!

Today's News Bits also expands on the Disney/Hulu deal, by examining how it affects the other players: CBS, YouTube, iTunes, and the cable industry.
