Version 6 of Suntech.OSS includes integrated billing, CRM, and network inventory and planning

WARSAW, Poland -- Suntech, the leading telecom systems provider, is introducing the 6th version of Suntech.OSS composed of integrated Billing, CRM and Network Inventory and Planning.

This is how Piotr Saczuk, the president of Suntech, commented on the new challenges: “Our strategy to offer our solutions worldwide requires that the latest Suntech OSS version be able to compete with well-known and widely used products available on the market, such as ‘Network-Inventory’ type of systems by Cramer or Granite”.

The Suntech6.OSS system has been designed to be sold through partnerships on different markets. Particular emphasis was laid on the system’s wide configurability and customization, as well as on its ability to integrate with other systems.

Far-reaching functional and technological changes were made to the system. The Suntech6.OSS embraces several new modules extending functionality. What seems to be a breakthrough is a new functionality which enables telecom operator to model its business processes and define their automation. The model of business processes complies with guidelines by TeleManagement Forum which Suntech joined in early 2004.

The Suntech6.OSS was implemented on .NET platform with wide support to web applications. This enabled to increase the number of system layers, which enhanced system’s scalability and ability to integrate. Suntech used XML-DOM and WebServices to introduce new ways of data exchange and gave access to the system functions via standard interfaces. New GIS, environment, based on ESRI platform, gave wide access to GIS data presentation and analysis functions, as well as in the Network Inventory and Planning as in the Billing and CRM.
