Dick Clark, 75, will be back for this year's New Year's celebration, tho it won't be a solo act. He'll team up with Ryan Seacrest on ABC's New Year's Rockin' Eve. You'll recall last year just shy of New Year's, Clark suffered a stroke, causing him to miss his 33rd edition of the annual special, and Regis Philbin subbed. Also last year, Seacrest was the host of Fox's New Year's event. Now he has signed a multi-year deal with ABC, which in time will leave him as sole host of the show.
A better ensemble would have been Casey Kasem, Brooke Burke, and the ghost of Andy Gibb, but that's just my opinion.
