Streaming21 establishes Japan subsidiary for its growing IPTV business

TOKYO -- Streaming21, the world's leader in broadcast-quality streaming solutions, launches its new wholly-owned subsidiary today in Tokyo, Japan. The new subsidiary, Streaming21 K.K., will better serve its Japan customers with high-quality local engineering, project management and sales supports. The Company will also establish new channels and build local strategic partners to expand business in the fast-growing IPTV market in Japan. As IPTV service providers in Japan upgrade their service portfolios to high definition and IPv6 standards, Streaming21 Japan will continue innovations to help deliver high-impact services that drive subscriptions and improve ARPU.

Streaming21's presence now spans the United States, Taiwan, Japan and China. The Company's end-to-end IPTV solution has been deployed by Tier 1 Telcos and IPTV service providers in these markets, such as NTT Communications, NEO Index, VIC TOKAI, Enterwave and TEPCO in Japan, KT (Korea Telecom) in South Korea, and Chunghwa Telecom in Taiwan.

Streaming21 has appointed Mike Chiang, VP of Business Development of Streaming21, as the Acting General Manager of Streaming21 K.K. He will lead the Japanese team in solution integration, sales support and project management. Chiang is a proven executive with substantial expertise in streaming services, and has led Streaming21 teams to win IPTV projects at KT, TEPCO and NTT.
