Sprint chairman and CEO William T. Esrey and CFO Robert J. Dellinger swear to the accuracy of company's SEC filings

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -- Sprint (NYSE: FON, PCS) today announced that William T. Esrey, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, and Robert J. Dellinger, Chief Financial Officer, signed and filed sworn statements with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) affirming the accuracy of the SEC filings made by the company in 2002. The statements filed today by Esrey and Dellinger covered Sprint's 10-K/A for 2001, its 10-Qs for the first and second quarters of 2002, its current reports on Form 8-K and its 2002 proxy statement.
