AT&T Mobility LLC is swapping out its old firewalls and has picked Juniper Networks Inc. (NYSE: JNPR), rather than Cisco Systems Inc. (Nasdaq: CSCO), for the job, according to analyst Catharine Trebnick of Avian Research LLC .

AT&T will be using Juniper's SRX system, which recently scored a win at Telus Corp. (NYSE: TU; Toronto: T) as well, Trebnick writes in a report issued today.

On the other hand, TDS Telecom is also replacing an old firewall -- of the NetScreen variety owned by Juniper -- and has picked Cisco for the job, Trebnick writes.
