AMSTERDAM -- Transverse, a leader in providing high-quality, low-cost, carrier-grade business support systems (BSS), today introduced blee(p) On Demand, the Software as a Service (SaaS) delivery option of their Business Logic Execution Environment Platform or blee(p). blee(p) is the industry’s first commercially supported carrier-grade open source BSS solution for communication service providers.

By enabling real-time, web-based access to its comprehensive open source BSS solution, Transverse is providing service providers with a state-of-the-art, cost effective and scalable means to quickly and easily deploy new services and business models. Because the On Demand model eliminates the need to build, operate and maintain systems on their premises, service providers can avoid significant CAPEX and OPEX costs.

“While the current economic climate has slowed IT spending, the inherent benefits of SaaS-based solutions are a great way for companies to stay in front of, and benefit from, technological advancements at a low cost,” said Chris Couch, chief operations officer at Transverse. “Because blee(p) On Demand leverages state-of-the-art software architectures delivered through a SaaS model, we are enabling telecom service providers to continue innovating their back-office systems while conserving cash.”
