Pics From OSS in the Era of SDN & NFV

LONDON -- OSS in the Era of SDN & NFV: Evolution vs. Revolution -- Heated debate and insightful service provider presentations were the order of the day Thursday November 6 as a core group of operators and vendors descended on the Thistle Marble Arch hotel in London to discuss the impact that SDN and NFV will/might have on OSS systems, R&D and strategies.

The conference room was packed to overflowing for much of the day as key executives from the likes of BT Group plc (NYSE: BT; London: BTA), Colt Technology Services Group Ltd , Comptel Corp. (Nasdaq, Helsinki: CTL1V), Netcracker Technology Corp. , Nokia Networks , Tail-f Systems , TM Forum and UBiqube Plc shared their insights and experiences.

You can see our ongoing coverage of this event as it rolls out in the coming days at our dedicated OSS in the Era of SDN & NFV show site.

Re: Beer Three beers and three pies for breakfast and I'm napping 'til lunch.

Which actually sounds like a great morning, especially if lunch involves more beer.

Re: Beer I was trying to fit in with the locals by having three beers + three pies for breakfast. I don't know how Ray does this on a daily basis!

Re: Loved the energy in panel discussions I agree, Jane! I think the Women's panel set the tone for a lively day of discussions. It's rare to see so much audience involvement and debate all day at a conference. It shows there are clearly different ways of approaching NFV/SDN and different mindsets on what works best. Love seeing all the dialouge around it.

Brew haha Wait -- is that a Beck's that Mr. Brown is drinking? That's almost treasonous. And I won't even mention that it's sitting next to a ... Bud.

pics The carriage reminds me of the opening of Parliament that I saw many years ago, though I don't recall motorcyles on either side. Perhaps they were less security-minded back then.
