And while many of the sector's players are expected to flood the newswires on Tuesday (the first day of the conference and exhibition), some companies have jumped the gun with early news releases.
These include IP service provisioning specialist Atreus Systems Inc. , which has landed a deal at Dutch incumbent KPN Telecom NV (NYSE: KPN) and struck a partnership with IT giant BEA Systems Inc. (Nasdaq: BEAS). (See KPN Uses Atreus OSS and Atreus, BEA Team Up.)
Test system giant Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) has a triple whammy of news. First, it's launching a 3G access service assurance product called Cell-Based Analysis; second, it's forming a partnership with data warehousing specialist Teradata (NYSE: TDC) to create a "business intelligence" platform; and third, Agilent says its NgN Analysis System can now monitor and troubleshoot IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) networks. Inventory management and provisioning system vendor Axiom Systems Inc. , meanwhile, has flagged up its news releases ahead of time. Axiom is involved in the Product and Service Assembly Initiative, along with BT Group plc (NYSE: BT; London: BTA), Telia Company , and Tibco Software Inc. (Nasdaq: TIBX). (See Axiom Goes to TMW.)
