SEBASTIAN, Fl. -- NetBoss Technologies, Inc., a leading supplier of network management and service assurance solutions to network operators around the world, unveiled details of its new portfolio transformation initiative, known as NetBoss. Now, at TM Forum Live! in Nice, France. The company first referenced its new strategy last month when it announced the appointment of industry veteran John Lee as CTO and provided additional information when it recently announced that it had signed strategic Value-added Reseller (VAR) and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) deals with several partners to extend its product portfolio, but full details had not been shared until today.

“At NetBoss Technologies, our vision is to enable you to understand everything; everything about your customers, your business operations, and the performance of your networks,” said John Lee, NetBoss CTO. “When you say ‘everything’ today, that also means many other things, including: a) how is the customer experience impacted, and b) what are the financial implications? NetBoss. Now is an integrated portfolio of right-time correlated network analytics and OSS solutions designed to drive Communications Service Provider (CSP) profitability by enabling them to proactively monitor, manage, and monetize their customers, the services they subscribe to, and the networks that support them. It’s all about the money.”

The heart of the NetBoss. Now portfolio is a SOA-compliant OSS Reference Model and solutions framework technically comprised of two interactive product suites: 1) NetBoss Intelligence. Now and 2) NetBoss Assurance.Now. While most of the software was developed by NetBoss, the company also supplemented its portfolio through strategic partner arrangements.

NetBoss Intelligence. Now is composed of an Enterprise Portal/Executive Dashboard Graphical User Interface (GUI) and SOA-compliant layer supporting the NetBoss Correlation Engine (formerly NetBoss Statewise) and a NetBoss Analytics platform. The Intelligence. Now architecture allows for external data sources, such as BSS data, to be integrated into the correlation streams to enable definition and visibility of the subscriber-specific relationships with the network (data usage, revenue generation, SLAs, etc.) and operational process (provisioning, trouble management, etc.).

Intelligence. Now’s Analytics Value Packs (VPs) organize and filter the hundreds of available KPIs, KQIs, and other analytics information into more functionally-specific packages to enable the user to look at the information from a pre-defined operational “perspective.” At the top level, Intelligence. Now defines value packs representing the customer perspective, the business process perspective, and the network perspective. CSPs can customize their perspectives even further in order to get the exact information they need to do their jobs.
