MAYNARD, Mass. -- Proxilliant Systems Corp., which offers intelligent solutions essential to achieving the highest levels of reliability and profitability of cable networks, has named industry veteran Brent Levetan as Vice President of Sales and Business Development. In the newly created position, he will be responsible for worldwide sales of the company's cable-based service health management solutions and for managing relationships with strategic manufacturing, technology and distribution partners.

The Proxilliant Cable Access Management System (CAMS) is the industry’s first complete system for real-time active management, monitoring, analysis, correlation, and reporting of the HFC network and the advanced services it delivers, such as VoIP and commercial services. With intelligence deployed deep in the cable access network combined with the industry’s only managed ingress suppression technology, CAMS provides comprehensive, precise and actionable information about network and service health while actively reducing quality-eroding ingress—a uniquely powerful solution to achieve new highs in service reliability and profitability.

A veteran sales executive with 27 years of experience in the cable and telecommunications industries, Levetan previously served as Vice President of Business Development at Vyyo, where he was responsible for developing relationships with critical technology and cable industry partners. He had been Vice President of North America Sales and Marketing at Xtend Networks, before the company was acquired by Vyyo. At Xtend, Levetan was instrumental in establishing productive relationships with the leading cable operators in the U.S. and Canada.

Levetan also enjoyed success at 3Com Corporation, where he built the company's first sales organization focused on the cable industry and served as its Director of North America Sales. That organization generated nearly one billion dollars in sales for 3Com. Earlier in his career, he held various senior sales executive roles at AT&T and Terayon Communications.
