Arbor Touts Italtel Partnership

MILAN, Italy -- Arbor Networks, Inc., a provider of core-to-core network security and operational performance for global business networks, announced today its solution for the service provider market, Arbor Peakflow SP, has been successfully implemented in three of Italy’s largest service provider networks.

Arbor’s success in Italy has been driven by its partnership with Italtel, a leader in developing and integrating next generation IP network products and services. Arbor has seen revenues increase by more than 500% in Italy since the partnership was announced in 2004, to account for over fifteen percent of Arbor’s total international revenue figures for the past 12 months.

“Our relationship with Italtel has enabled us to make great strides within the Italian market, securing multiple tier-one service provider customers as a direct result,” said Gerhard Schmid, Arbor Networks sales manager for central and eastern Europe. “We plan to build on this success and extend the partnership to include our enterprise solution, Arbor Peakflow X, as well as to other regions, such as Greece, to take advantage of Italtel’s international footprint and close customer relationships.”

“Italtel, thanks to the relationship developed with Arbor, can offer an innovative solution to service providers and operators for the “survivability of company mission” protection, thus fully answering the growing needs for prevention, infrastructure security and business services continuity,” said Valerio Minero, Italtel’s vice president, IP communication and professional services product unit. “Arbor Network’s Peakflow SP enables customers to monitor network activity in real-time and quickly alerts users to anomalies in network behaviour that could be a result of a policy violation, router misconfiguration, or malicious activity such as Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS),” concluded Minero.
