1. Obama
President Obama is visiting Dublin today, which means that no one gets within several hundred meters of wherever he is, there are more police on the streets than there are civilians and the airport doesn't accept incoming flights on time. Welcome to Ireland!
2. The Wind
It's fierce. Like this. So not only are the planes landing late, they are landing on one wheel as well. And people are falling over once they get outside. It's even more fun when rain is thrown into the mix.
3. Iceland's at it again...
What is it with erupting fissures in Iceland and the Management World show?
Last year's event in Nice, France, was disrupted because of the cloud ash spewed over Europe by Eyjafjallajökull (try saying that after a few pints of Guinness...). (See Dublin, Not Nice and Volcano 1, Light Reading 1.)
Now, with remarkable timing, the Grimsvötn volcano has chucked its load into the atmosphere, and it's heading towards Northern Europe. Could the friction between the Icelandic tectonic plates be linked to the stress levels of TM Forum president Martin Creaner? We'll know for sure next year if the same thing happens again...

The wind, volcanic ash, and Obama set the stage for a dramatic Management World. That's a lot for the SPIT-ers there to live up to -- the bar is already high for news excitement.
