NewStep Intros CSN30

TORONTO -- NewStep Networks, Inc., the market and technology leader in convergence solutions for carriers and enterprises, today unveiled the CSN30 platform for enterprises and small carrier environments. With capacity for up to 30,000 subscribers, the CSN30 offers fixed-mobile convergence solutions and features in a compact, industry-standard platform that is ideal for enterprises with a large number of mobile workers, and also for smaller network operators that require scalable solutions.

In addition to VCC compliant dual-mode seamless handoff support, The CSN30 provides all the features of the NewStep Networks’ FlexConnect Solution, such as One Button Transfer, Single Number Service, Automatic Reconnect, Single Voicemail and Voicemail Intercept. The CSN30 provides PBX extension services, so that employee mobile phones appear like extensions of the company PBX. The CSN30 also offers Optimal Call Routing, which helps enterprises and network operators save on long distance, transfer and roaming charges.

“Enterprises and small carriers all know that their users want and need flexibility when it comes to their telecommunication services and devices,” said Neil Baimel, president and CEO for NewStep Networks. “Today, people have multiple devices and they want to use the one that is the most convenient and offers the most cost savings and highest quality. NewStep Networks’ CSN30 focuses on delivering an ‘any device, any place, any content’ experience and enables enterprises and small carriers to offer simple, high-quality, cost-effective fixed-mobile convergence services to their users.”

NewStep currently offers its patented, carrier-class CSN server-based software platform in two versions—the CSN30 for enterprises and small carriers, and the CSN1000 for large carriers. Both platforms converge services across diverse networks to enable subscribers to have a single number, single voicemail, simultaneous ringing across multiple phones, and other features like corporate extension dialing, from the mobile phones they use today. By extending traditional desktop PBX phone capabilities to today’s mobile phones, and allowing the easy transfer of calls between fixed and mobile phones, users get a more consistent, simplified communications experience at a lower cost, and service providers are able to deliver a higher value bundle of fixed-mobile services.
